BSPP Double Acting Counterbalance Valve for Closed Centre with Steel Body

BDC2B21

The BDC series comprises compact counterbalance valves designed for closed‑centre hydraulic systems. Each valve locks the load and incorporates a relief valve to protect against overpressure by venting oil from the cylinder. The series comes in ¼‑, ⅜‑ and ½‑inch BSPP port sizes, each available in two pressure ranges: 30–210 bar or 60–350 bar. Flow capacities increase with size—about 30 L/min for the ¼‑inch models, 40 L/min for ⅜‑inch, and 60 L/min for ½‑inch. Standard factory settings are 210 bar for the low‑range versions and 350 bar for the high‑range versions, with adjustment screws allowing tuning (approximately 80 bar per turn on the smallest model). Pilot ratios are typically 1 : 4.25, with optional 1 : 8.1 versions for applications requiring a lower pilot pressure. Weights vary from roughly 1.9 kg for the ¼‑inch size to about 2.1 kg for the ½‑inch size. All models use steel bodies by default, ensuring durability, with aluminium available as an option.
