BFA2B21
The BFA counterbalance series provides flanged, double‑acting valves for open‑centre hydraulic circuits. Available in ¼‑, ⅜‑ and ½‑inch BSPP sizes, they lock a load in position and use an integral relief valve to vent excess pressure. Flow capacities are 30 L/min for the smallest size, 40 L/min for the ⅜‑inch version and 60 L/min for the ½‑inch version. Two spring ranges are offered—30–210 bar (standard setting 210 bar) and 60–350 bar (standard setting 350 bar)—with an approximate adjustment rate of 80 bar per turn on the small BFA1B21 model. The medium BFA2B21 has a pilot ratio of 1 : 4.25 (optional 1 : 8.1). Weights range from about 2.05 kg for the ¼‑inch model to around 1.96 kg for the largest ½‑inch version. All models use steel bodies by default and can be supplied in aluminium on request.
Key specifications for BFA counterbalance valves:
Port sizes & flow capacities: Available in ¼‑in, ⅜‑in and ½‑in BSPP versions, supporting 30 L/min, 40 L/min and 60 L/min respectively.
Pressure range: Adjustable spring ranges of 30–210 bar or 60–350 bar; maximum working pressure 350 bar.
Standard settings: Factory set to either 210 bar (low‑range) or 350 bar (high‑range); roughly 80 bar increase per full turn of the adjustment screw on the smallest model.
Pilot ratio: Medium‑size BFA2B21 offers a 1 : 4.25 pilot ratio with an optional 1 : 8.1 version.
Construction and weight: Flange‑mounted steel body (aluminium available), with dimensions around 21–23 mm mounting width and 127–129 mm length; weights range from roughly 1.96 to 2.05 kg depending on model.
