DIN 3/8 BSPP Double Acting Pilot Check Valve - Pipe12

The Fluid‑App VBD2BT is a steel-bodied, DIN 2353 double-acting pilot check valve designed to hold a double‑acting hydraulic actuator in position. It is intended for mounting on steel pipe and features 3/8‑inch BSPP pilot ports with cylinder ports labelled C1 and C2 and pilot ports V1 and V2.

The valve uses parallel BSPP threads, with the pilot ports at 3/8 BSPP and cylinder ports roughly 12 mm in diameter. Its body measures about 98.5 mm long, with an intermediate section of 63 mm and mounting height around 35.5 mm. It is rated for a maximum flow of 35 L/min and a working pressure up to 350 bar. A pilot ratio of 1 : 5.5 means the check releases when pilot pressure is roughly one‑fifth of the load pressure, and it has a cracking pressure around 4.5 bar. The unit weighs approximately 0.67 kg (1.47 lb).

In operation, the VBD2BT blocks flow through the cylinder ports until pilot pressure is applied to the appropriate port, preventing actuator drift under load. Its high pilot ratio makes it suitable where only modest pilot pressure is available, and it is commonly used to lock hydraulic cylinders or motors in mobile and industrial equipment.
