Description

The Bull range is their heavy-duty log-splitter line. It includes electric, PTO (tractor-driven), or dual (electric/PTO) versions.

The machines are made in Italy; designed for durability, safety, with attention to hydraulic and mechanical quality (steel thickness, strength of the wedge, guides, frames) etc.

Key design features common across Bull models:

  • High splitting force, varying depending on model (6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 tons etc.).
  • Vertical orientation: the wedge pushes vertically. Good for logs, large diameters.
  • Frame & wedge construction: hardened / tempered steel wedges; strong frames; steel guides for piston to reduce wear; replaceable or durable parts to take intense use.
  • Safety: safety levers, safety arch, shortened control levers; CE compliance; limit‐/end-of-stroke devices; protective covers.
  • Transport / handling features: wheels, handles; some models allow adjusting height or disassembling/closing piston for storage; some have multiple cutting plate heights.

The Bull line has a number of variants; the differences mainly come from:

Power source

  • Electric (single-phase or three-phase) versions. Good for semi-professional or domestic use.
  • Tractor-driven / PTO versions: designed for more heavy, intensive use.

Splitting force / capacity

  • Lower-force models are 6, 8 tons etc (for smaller logs, less demanding jobs).
  • Mid-range around 10-12 tons.
  • Higher end: 16-ton, 20-ton models, for large logs / more demanding orchards / forestry.

Stoke / log height & diameter capability

  1. Depending on model: diameter up to ~ 50-60 cm common for many electric/medium models.
  2. In larger PTO/Bull-20 etc, log height (length) can go much greater (some 110-114 cm or more) because of very long piston stroke.

Stroke / movement speed & pump features

  • Dual pumps (for quicker cycle or different pressures): some models offer double pump, or pumps sized for high flow so speed isn't too slow.
  • Adjustable end-of-stroke control, some stroke closure for storage etc.

Size / Weight / Portability

  • Smaller electric models are lighter, more mobile.
  • Larger PTO-driven or 16-20 ton models are heavy (300-400 kg or more) and larger physically.

More Information

Approved Hydraulics provides warranty coverage against defects in
materials and workmanship under normal use for the periods below,
subject to the conditions in this policy.

A. Two-year warranty (24 months)

A 2-year warranty applies to selected products or product lines as
stated on the quotation, order acknowledgement, invoice, product
datasheet, packaging or website.

B. One-year warranty (12 months) – conditional

A 1-year warranty applies to products not covered by the 2-year
warranty, and/or to certain items where coverage is subject to
conditions such as correct installation, commissioning, maintenance, and
use (see Section 5).

Important: The warranty period that applies to a specific item is the
one explicitly stated on the sales documentation or product literature
for that item.

Delivery

For all stock items and goods not requiring production.

Next Working Day Delivery (UK Mainland)

  • If placed before 3.00pm Monday - Thursday, all stock item orders will be dispatched on the same day for next day delivery.
  • If orders are placed after 3.00pm on Thursday or on Friday before 3.00pm, delivery will take place the following Monday.
  • Orders placed after 3.00pm on a Friday will not be dispatched until the following Monday.

Returns

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same
condition that you received it. It must also be in the original
packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
